Halloween possesses downtown Oshawa
Get ready, ghouls and goblins, downtown Oshawa is turning delightfully spooky for one night only during the Oshawa Halloween Boo Bash 2026 free event! 🎃 Join us for a frightfully fun first ever Halloween bash packed with pumpkins, costumes, music, vendors, and eerie surprises around every corner, literally! Bring the whole family for a night of not-too-scary thrills and ghostly good times!

It's challenging to balance between people with sensitivities to scares both young and old and those who are looking for a little more fright in their night. To appeal to both, we'll have NO SCARE ACTORS in the Scare Zones between 1PM - 3PM.
Shadows get stretched as downtown is transformed into a halloween playground. Do you dare?
SCARE ZONES & ACTIVATIONS
Weave carefully through the whispering pine trees because you never know who, or what, may be lurking just on the other side.
Stroll down Victoria Lane and come face-to-face with 12 larger-than-life scarecrows created by local area artists.

COSTUME CONTEST
Join our spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest for individuals (or teams) as well as a category for pet(s)! 🎃👻 Show off your otherworldly creations for a chance to win wicked prizes. This is a pre-registration event. Registration will be open shortly.
PUMPKIN DECORATING WITH ALEXIS
1PM - 3PM North-West corner of parking lot, at the arch.
Hang out with Alexis and learn techniques for decorating your own pumpkin using markers, paint, jewels and more! Pumpkins are provided. Great for all ages, but adults can join in on the fun too! Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
DOWNTOWN TRICK OR TREATING
Bring your trick or treat bag... local downtown Oshawa businesses are getting in on the Halloween fun with a little trick-or-treating. Stay tuned for a list of participating businesses.
